Orange and Green Tribal Stamped Mani

Tonight's manicure was a quickie! As much fun as I had creating the last hand painted tribal set of designs, it was just too busy for my everyday wear. I also got my new plates from born pretty store yesterday and I couldn't wait to test them out!

For the mani, i used:
born pretty nail art plate (item 6947) - use code SDPX31 to save 10%!
China Glaze Tree Hugger
L'Oreal Orange You Jealous
Wet n' Wild Black Creme
Ciate Fast Dry Top Coat

I need a little practice still getting the images onto the nail straight! Luckily its workable for this design.

Only one of the nails got a little messed up while stamping. Overall I am really pleased with the quality of the plates!

Do you like the design?

  1. Have you got any tips for stamping? It really isn't a strength of mine! No matter how much I've been practicing it doesn't ever transfer nicely!

    1. Have you primed your stamper first? I lightly buffed it with a file (don't over-do it) and then cleaned off with acetone. You have to work quickly to get the image onto the stamper. i just dab a few drops on the top of the image (I don't cover the whole thing) and when I scrape it spreads it over the whole image. I learned not to scrape too hard or it removes TOO much polish. I press the stamper directly down and then make sure the image looks good on the stamper before applying to the nail. Hopefully that helped... I have been pretty lucky not to have too many difficulties with it!!
